Friedman & Anspach is a six-attorney New York City litigation firm focused on union-side labor law and ERISA matters. We represent labor unions and the trustees of multiemployer pension and health funds in a wide range of matters, including federal court litigation.
We are seeking a litigation associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our practice.
Responsibilities
Manage federal court litigation from early stages through resolution
Draft and argue motions, including motions to dismiss and for summary judgment
Manage complex discovery and take/defend depositions
Represent clients in arbitrations and administrative proceedings
Advise union clients and employee benefit funds
Requirements
Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on litigation experience, including in federal court
Experience with motion practice, discovery, and depositions under the FRCP
Strong writing and analytical skills
Admission to the New York Bar
Preferred (Not Required)
ERISA or labor/employment experience
Candidates with strong federal court litigation experience who are interested in developing expertise in this area are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits
$130,000–$160,000, based on experience
