The Position:
Blitch Westley Barrette, S.C. seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join our expanding Transportation & Logistics Practice in Florida. This position is remote with in-office collaboration as needed. You will get meaningful courtroom responsibility early and work directly with clients across the transportation industry.
The ideal candidate will handle litigation from inception through trial, conduct in-depth legal research, and draft high-level legal memoranda within a collaborative, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in complex transportation and logistics litigation
Handle all aspects of case management, from inception through trial or resolution
Provide strategic legal counsel and collaborate with clients in the transportation industry

Requirements

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing
3-5 years of litigation experience, including trial preparation and courtroom work
Experience in federal court is a plus
Transportation, trucking, or insurance-defense experience is a plus

Ability to work independently and remotely, and take ownership of their cases
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple cases with efficiency and attention to detail
Skilled in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution
Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presence
Client-focused approach with a high standard of professionalism and integrity
Ability to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively within a team environment
Proficient in legal technology and case management systems
